I found the day interesting, challenging and enjoyable. The first task was a literature review followed by a presentation and questioning – I felt this really sharpened those skills. The second half of the day was spent improving and practicing presentation skills with the “The Method”. This teaching I found invaluable and I have been able to implement what was learned into my day-to-day work presenting clinical data. The evening gave a chance to network in a more informal environment and was a fantastic event. I found the whole experience equally nerve racking, fun and valuable. I would recommend anyone who is considering entering any of the categories to go for it.

Novo Nordisk, 2018 Winner of the New Medical Science Liaison of the Year category

The whole PharmaTimes MSEA Awards process was a brilliant experience. I prepared a presentation prior to the day, and had to prepare another on the day. It was really enjoyable and the judges were engaged and supporting of the on-going work I demonstrated in Medical Affairs. I would definitely do this again, and would encourage anybody else to also!

Participating in the PharmaTimes Medical and Scientific Excellence awards was a great way to test my Medical Information knowledge and leadership skills with others in the industry. The assessment day was challenging and enjoyable and it was great to receive recognition for my achievement! I encourage all MI Professionals and Leaders to participate in this valuable event in 2019.

Eisai, 2018 Winner of the Medical Information Leader of the Year

It was an honour to be part of the competition this year. It was very well organised and although the assessment process was intensive it was very beneficial. It was an opportunity to network, sharpen our skills, and has already proven to be great exposure.

Boehringer Ingelheim, 2018 Highly Commended for Medical Information Professional of the Year

MSEA provided a rare opportunity to network with Medical Affair colleagues from other organisations, and have an idea as to what competencies are valued outside of your own organisation. It was an enjoyable day and a great learning curve to reflect back on, everyone involved was supportive. I have recommended MSEA 2019 to my new medical colleague.
